#00 - Carter Ryan
 3B/RHP - 6' 4" 225 lbs
Carter is a big strong force on the field. As a starting pitcher he throws a heavy ball with late break, good angles and when in good command of his body control the pitch location follows suit. As a sneaky power hitter, he is developing his ability to drive the ball gap-to-gap. Shifting from his traditional SS position to 3B this season should prove to highlight his arm and ability to play the hot corner with prowess.

#7 - Mason Bogojevski
 CF/RHP - 6' 1" 175 lbs
Mason is an exciting, aggressive play-maker in outfielder. Developing his routes to the ball and taking leadership of the OF are keys to his continued progress in the OF, Mason is as blue chip a center-fielder that is out their, as the movie Field of Dreams says his glove is where triples go to die. Grooming Mason as a possible reliever to encourage his mental growth in the game as well as utilize his upper range velocity will be key to helping the team. As a fleet footed baserunner, his raw speed is a great tool on the Flying Squirrels bases and continues to work hard on his swing and OB%

#11 - Kyle Manson
 OF/RHP - 6' 1" 155 lbs
A smooth gliding playmaking outfielder that plays without fear. On the positive side of the rehabilitative process for some necessary surgery unrelated to baseball Kyle has been a perfect example of what a teammate is! Selfless, supporting and hard working. We look forward to the day that Kyle can rejoin his fellow Squirrels in the line-up.

#14 - Josiah Stairs
 OF/1B/LHP - 6' 2" 180 lbs
Aggressive playmaker with the will to succeed at every aspect of the game. Mental toughness helps define all of Josiah's natural skill sets, either on the mound or in the field. A switch hitter with more power from the left side, sprays the ball and runs aggressively, will be a plus baserunner combining smart and speed together. A solid repetoire of pitches Josiah continues to improve on the mound and shows he is capable of being a quality starter.

#17 - Alcide Boegel
 M-INF/C - 5' 9" 150 lbs
Very quick footed middle infielder and catcher, Alcide thrives on challenge and the heat of the battle. Taking advantage of Alcide's quick feet and accurate arm he is making the transition from full time catcher to middle infielder in a platoon situation. A signature hard worker he has progressed very well in the transition and gaining confidence. A contact spray hitter he is a pesky baserunner and hard to get out.

#30 - Angelo Duscio
3B/1B/RP - 5' 9" 170 lbs.
Angelo comes to the Flying Squirrels by way of the Waterloo midget OBA team. Not an unfamiliar player as he has been with this coaching staff before in another uniform. What we get in Angelo is a huge upside. He is an exciting player to watch, and a joy to coach. He plays all out, and has the highest baseball IQ I've seen in years. He plays hard, in every aspect of the game, there is no let up. Playing the infield corners he gives the Flying Squirrels a more solidified defense, a razor sharp mind in the infield and allows more flexibility for the Manager to move personnel around to best defend the nest. At bat, he is a formidable foe, a beast with a bat and he will definitely make the Flying Squirrels soar even more in 2020.

#9 - Jordan Carroll
RHP/C/INF - 5' 8" 165 lbs.
Jordan comes to the Flying Squirrels from a couple organizations and we plan to utilize Jordan's versatility to play a vairiety of positions. As a strike machine on the mound his delivery is compact and straight forward. A hard working athlete that is fit and strong we plan to showcase his talent and foot speed.

#32 - Emerson Milbury
 OF/3B/RHP - 6' 1" 200 lbs
Emerson is a strong multi-sport athlete that contributes to the Flying Squirrels success in many ways. Out of the bullpen and spot starter he has very good body control and his arm slot creates a lot of late movement. Mentally strong to handle the reliever position as well as make plays in the infield and outfield, Emerson can be as versatile as they come. Offensively his strength shows up in driving balls along with very good foot speed he is a table cleaner kind of hitter.

#34 - Soren Querengesser
 M-INF/RHP - 5' 10" 155 lbs
Soren, better known as "Q", is the epitome of what the Flying Squirrels are all about. As a baserunner he is as Pesky as they come, ready to take advantage of every opportunity the defense gives him. He finds ways to score, he can steal, he can advance, he wants to touch home plate. As a M-INF he is a playmaker and his signature clean-to-dirty uniform means he works hard for every inch of the game defensively. Respectful, hardworking and aggressive, he is the heart and soul of the Flying Squirrels. Offensively his off-season weight training paid off in driving balls to the gaps now and becoming an RBI Guy as well.

#44 - Jackson Soucie
 1B/LHP - 6' 3" 205 lbs
Jackson is a very strong athlete with great hands at 1B, and a loose live arm on the bump. With a lively fastball, and sharp breaking ball mixed in with a developing change-up, he is a strong starter on the mound. Defensively he has the ability to play big as a first basemen and save errant throws with a large frame and tremendous reach. Offensively able to drive the baseball to both gaps and be an RBI Guy, a smart baserunner he works his way to home plate. Off season training has paid huge dividends for Jackson with increases in all his velo's and slugging.

#88 - Ben Spunde
 OF/LHP - 6' 1" 170 lbs
If there was ever a kid born to pitch it is Ben. Focused, aggressive, determined and intent is how this hard throwing lefty approaches his starts. Working on being more efficient, being a strike out pitcher he is working the counts better and getting outs earlier in the count. Equally a warrior out of the pen, Ben just loves to pitch. As probably the best fit athlete on the team Ben has fast hands at the plate and drives the ball when he squares it up, and then he gets to run. He was born to pitch, but he loves to run. Speed to burn here and he takes advantage of it all the time wreaking havoc to the opposition.
